Other efforts have been pushed forward to help developers understand Drupal more easily, including get-togethers where devs learn tips and tricks of the trade. Also a part of these meetings, sharing knowledge, and their experience working with the CMS complement the experience. Some of those events are:
Drupaleadas / Drupaladas / Salteñas
Get-togethers where experienced Drupal users share their knowledge in certain topics. The activity takes place in different Universities. On average, groups of 25 Drupal enthusiasts participate in these events every month. This event is named in different ways, based in folklore of each country.
Drupal Contribute
A more advanced activity, Drupal developers focus on specific tasks such as Drupal 8, Core and Module contributions, etc. Our community embraced the Drupal Ladder methodology as a way to encourage more developers to take a front seat in building the Drupal community. We want developers to be an active maintenance crew that collaborates towards reaching the 1% goal of Drupal users contributing back to the community.
Symfony 2 + Drupal 8
The latest event the community has introduced, this activity brings developers together to learn about Symfony and its very important role in Drupal 8. This is mostly a Symfony training session.
